Portal Run is a 2D puzzle game inspired by Valve's Portal (2007) with a big twist - you can only move by placing portals. Think your way out of sticky situations by remembering how both speed and direction (relative to the portals), are conserved when being teleported. Once you understand the basics, levels that look impossible at first can be solved with a bit of brainpower. Enjoy!

yes

that happened...

Yes sorry, they’re are some major bugs that we are attempting to fix right now. Hope it wasn’t to much of a bother :)

also can you add sound? it would make it better to hear the portals at least

Sound effects and music are coming soon !!

so i noticed "magnet" controls. Are those gonna be used in the future?

Yep, Magnets coming soon! Have you enjoyed playing the game and do you have any other feedback or bugs you’ve found?

I got to hold down the alt key to get the other portal for this due to me being on a chromebook

Did that mean some levels were very hard/impossible? How did you find the game? Thanks for the feedback :]

well type in itch.io then free games then type in browser in tag search. and it was a bit hard but manageable

fun game tho keybinds wouldve been nice for portals in addition to mouse right and left

Might add in the future, thanks!

I like the game it would be cool to see what u could do with it in the future!! My suggestion is mainly for the fact that when I play games on itch.io I often am just chilling and using a trackpad

not a bad game, had to think a bit in some of these levels :-)

Glad to hear you were at least a bit puzzled! Any improvements that we could make? Glitches, difficulty etc.?

not really. at some situations I somehow managed to land on a flat black spot (where no portal can be placed) having zero horizontal speed.
so I was screwed cause i could no longer move away.

but that happened like once and resetting the level wasnt really that much of a deal :-)

This is an interesting spin on portal games, also the graphics are cool, although retro.
Overall, good game.

Hey, thanks for the feedback, glad you hear you enjoyed it! Were there any issues you found while playing or any levels too difficult? Lets us know if you don't mind.

I'm gonna be honest, when we could only control one portal - it was somehow harder, then when you could control both. Also, I had a very short confusion about how I can control the player, when I realised, that I can't, I'll have to solve everything with the portals.
Other than that, I think most of the puzzles were quite good, not too hard, but you have to think / experiment a bit.
